Tom Cruise is going back to work on VALKYRIE, which began production one year ago in Germany. Cruise will be shooting three scenes in North Africa within the next three weeks. What does this mean for the film? Hopefully nothing. I don’t know about you guys but I thought the trailer looked awesome. Peter Bart comments that “several people I trust have seen VALKYRIE and testify that it’s a superb thriller. “Bryan Singer is back in form,” says one source.”
I guess that this film is getting hate is just a mark of the times. I mean we’ve got a film from the guys that are responsible for THE USUAL SUSPECTS, that has Nazis, a dude that dresses like a pirate, Davy Jones himself, and oh yeah, the dude that dresses like a pirate is freaking Maverick. Ten years ago this film would’ve been more popular than sex.
