It was only a matter of time but Apple recently announced that as of yesterday, their mega-popular iTunes would be providing movie downloads on the same day that the titles are released on DVD. They’ve managed to get pretty much every studio on board, making agreements with Fox, Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount, Universal, Sony, Lionsgate, Image and First Look, so expect to be able to download all the latest, greatest (and not so greatest) releases. Titles available this week include JUNO, I AM LEGEND and AMERICAN GANSTER. New titles will retail for $14.99 and catalog titles for $9.99. And, of course, you’ll be able to download these to your spiffy new iPod Touch and/or iPod classic if you haven’t gotten with the times. Get more details over HERE.
