Quarantine teaser

JoBloJoBlo

Talk about quick turnaround — it didn’t take long for the Spanish-language “first-person” virus flick [REC] to build buzz before it got snapped up for a Hollywood remake.

Screen Gems’ version of the horror flick follows a reporter crew stuck in an LA apartment building during a particularly nasty outbreak of snarling, bloodthirsty humans. It’s another “found footage” artifact in the vein of CLOVERFIELD and BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, which means lots of queasy-cam and people incessantly screeching “Ohmygod Ohmygod!”

The update stars Jennifer Carpenter (aka DEXTER’s tomboy sister), Jay Hernandez and Jonathon Schaech, and was written and shakily directed by THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES guys John Erick Dowdle and Drew Dowdle.
