Looking at the new trailer for WAR, INC. makes it difficult to believe it’s not a straight sequel to GROSSE POINTE BLANK — although it’s pretty obvious that’s the underlying intention.
This one might be a bit more satirical (and silly) than John Cusack’s modern classic, and it swaps out Minnie Driver for Marisa Tomei (okay by me) and fits in Dan Aykroyd as an ally rather than competitor. But it again puts Cusack in the role as a hitman (with assistance from sister Joan) faced with a convoluted situation to execute a contract, while taking shots at the current misery-for-profit culture/government.
Also, Hilary Duff puts a live scorpion in her pants.
