Radha the Surrogate

JoBloJoBlo

Aussie actress Radha Mitchell has no fear of genre material — she’s wrestled shadow creatures, nocturnal aliens and a giant croc, so a comic book is certainly within her boundaries.

Mitchell is joining Bruce Willis in THE SURROGATES, a sci-fi thriller based on the Top Shelf comic series. Jonathan Mostow (T3: RISE OF THE MACHINES) is directing the futuristic story set in a world where humans live in isolation and interact through surrogate robots. Willis plays a cop investigating the murders of other surrogates, which requires him to leave his home for the first time in years to solve the conspiracy.

The flick comes from T3 (and T4, or whatever it’s called) writers Michael Ferris and John Brancato, and will start shooting in Boston next month. Mitchell will next be seen in the drama THE CHILDREN OF HUANG SHI and the crime tale THE CODE.
