Dano is Gigantic

JoBloJoBlo

With all the Oscar snub chatter that went on after the nominations were announced, I was surprised at the lack of attention being given to Paul Dano’s big-time snub, after his Eli Sunday went toe to toe with DDL’s Daniel Plainview in THERE WILL BE BLOOD—an unthinkable task. But there’s no doubt Dano’s performance got noticed by everyone in Hollywood (even the derelicts) and he’ll be getting a lot more offers. An offer he appears to have accepted is for a small romantic comedy called GIGANTIC, costarring the little pixie Zooey Deschanel (ELF). The film revolves around a young mattress salesman (Dano) who falls in love with a woman he meets at his store (Deschanel). It will be helmed by first-timer Matt Aselton and was written by him and Adam Nagata. Dano can next be seen in THE GOOD HEART, reuniting with Brian Cox after they starred together in L.I.E. and Deschanel can be seen next in M. Night Shyamalan’s suicide opus THE HAPPENING.
