Gerard Butler is taking a break from shooting, slashing and causing abdominal envy for a bit of the haha with Katherine Heigl.
The scruffy Scot will join Heigl and her own two bountiful co-stars in the romantic comedy THE UGLY TRUTH. Being described as a “battle of the sexes” story, the movie involves Butler’s chauvinistic TV show host who tests relationship theories on Heigl’s “romantically challenged” (shyeah) producer. LEGALLY BLONDE director Robert Luketic and writers Karen McCullah Lutz and Kirsten Smith are behind the hypothetical laughs.
With KNOCKED UP and 27 DRESSES on her recent filmography, Heigl is apparently the new reigning romcom queen, while Butler has previous comedy experience from 300, TIMELINE and TOMB RAIDER 2.
