Those of you looking forward to George Clooney’s upcoming directorial effort, the period romantic comedy LEATHERHEADS, are gonna have to wait just a little while longer. In light of Mr.Heartthrob Dreamboat cracking his rib and the start of filming on The Coen Bros.’ BURN AFTER READING, in which he stars alongside Brad Pitt, it seems he’s gonna need a little more time to finish the film. So, the film has been pushed back from its original December 7th release date to April 4th of next year.
In it, after the owner of a 1920s football team (Clooney) recruits a young star player (John Krasinski), things get complicated when said owner falls for the player’s fiance (Renee Zellweger). At this point, the hilarity makes it a point to ensue.
