Purefoy is Kane

JoBloJoBlo

James PurefoyFormer boozy, angry, snatch-crazed centurion (Mark Anthony, to be exact) James Purefoy has been cast as the titular hero in SOLOMON KANE, a feature adaptation of the Robert E. Howard series of comics of the same name. Under director Michael J. Bassett from his own script, the story follows the pale-faced, enigmatic 16th century Puritan warrior who wanders the Earth vanquishing evil in all its forms. The producers are planning a trilogy based on the character (they certainly have enough source material) unless, of course, the film doesn’t so much resonate with audiences and instead produces a big fat box office turd. Purefoy can next be seen in yet another “Frankenstein” TV movie.
