Sweet Aces poster

JoBloJoBlo

I’m hopeful that Joe Carnahan’s SMOKIN’ ACES will deliver on the promise of violence both kinetic and excessive. But even if it doesn’t completely satisfy, it’s difficult to argue with the promotional materials… Between the frenzied trailer, nifty vibrant poster (I appreciate anything that’s not another “floating heads” image) and killer tagline “May the best hitman win”, they’ve definitely made me want to see it. (Plus, Alicia Keys looks exceptionally fine.)

But how about this baby? Unfortunately this poster didn’t make the final cut, but I seriously groove on the old-school pulp design. Ray needs to reload, though!

Thanks to Tom at Solace in Cinema for the communiqué!
