Last month we passed along word that Netflix slipped up and revealed the release date for the upcoming second season of THE PUNISHER with Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle. Supposedly the new season is all set to hit the streaming giant this January but word of the premiere came by way of a new video highlighting the service's January scheduling. Unfortunately, the video has since been removed by the powers that be. Hurumph.
Anyhow, today we have a slick new teaser trailer for THE PUNISHER SEASON 2 and it claims that the new season is simply "coming soon." Hurumph. But whatever the release date is, I know I'll be there for more Bernthal ass-whoopings. Will you too? Let us know below. After exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his wife and children, Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) uncovers a conspiracy that runs far deeper than New York’s criminal underworld. Now known throughout the city as The Punisher, he must discover the truth about injustices that affect more than his family alone.
The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios and Bohemian Risk Productions, with creator Steve Lightfoot serving as showrunner. On top of Bernthal, the second season stars Ben Barnes (WESTWORLD), Amber Rose Revah, Jason R. Moore, Josh Stewart (THE COLLECTOR), Floriana Lima, and Giorgia Whigham. THE PUNISHER Season 2 is "coming soon" to Netflix. We'll let you know when we hear more.
