Syfy releases a teaser for The Last Sharknado: It’s About Time

A couple months ago, we heard that Syfy would be wrapping up their SHARKNADO franchise with its sixth entry, which will be airing on the network this summer. It has since been revealed that the title of the new film is THE LAST SHARKNADO: IT'S ABOUT TIME, which seems appropriate – not just because it's time to bring this series to an end, but also because the film is a time travel adventure.

Directed by Anthony C. Ferrante, who has been at the helm for every SHARKNADO movie, from a screenplay by Scotty Mullen, THE LAST SHARKNADO stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Vivica A. Fox, Cassie Scerbo, Tori Spelling, Dean McDermott, La Toya Jackson, Dee Snider, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Darrell Hammond, and Alaska Thunderf*ck 5000.

The synopsis:

All is lost, or is it? Fin unlocks the time-traveling power of the Sharknados in order to save the world and resurrect his family. In his quest, Fin fights Nazis, dinosaurs, knights, and even takes a ride on Noah’s Ark. This time, it’s not how to stop the sharknados, it’s when.

THE LAST SHARKNADO: IT'S ABOUT TIME will make its premiere on Syfy on Sunday, August 19th, capping off the network's annual "Sharknado Week" event of shark-themed movies. Set to air during Sharknado Week this year are DEEP BLUE SEA 2, NIGHTMARE SHARK, and 6-HEADED SHARK ATTACK, among others.

I haven't watched a SHARKNADO movie since SHARKNADO 2: THE SECOND ONE (and haven't watched a multi-headed shark attack since the shark only had two heads), so I'm way behind on all this shark action.

The teaser trailer for THE LAST SHARKNADO can be seen below.
