Netflix Stranger Things

Netflix hasn't yet announced when they'll be releasing the third season of their hit series Stranger Things through their streaming service, but they've already released a promo for it online. The season only just started filming, though, so you shouldn't expect to see much new footage from the show in this promo… Actually, scratch that. You shouldn't expect to see any new footage from the show here. What the promo actually gives us is a glimpse behind the scenes as returning stars and new additions to the cast gather together for a table reading of the script for the season's first episode.

Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Dacre Montgomery, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Priah Ferguson, Cara Buono, Winona Ryder, David Harbour, they all have a place at the table, alongside the recently cast Maya Hawke, Jake Busey, and Cary Elwes.

One of the kids is seen wearing a Led Zeppelin shirt; whoever that is gets extra cool points in my book.

Stranger Things season 3 doesn't have an official synopsis at this point, but we do know that the show will continue to progress through the 1980s, with this season being set in 1985. Show creators the Duffer brothers have said that the season will deal with the lurking presence of the Upside Down inhabitant known as the Mind Flayer.

They've shut the door on the Mind Flayer, but not only is it still there in the Upside Down, it's very much aware of the kids, and particularly Eleven. It had not encountered her and her powers until that final episode. Now, it knows that she's out there."

While we wait to hear when we can expect to see Stranger Things season 3, you can check out the behind the scenes promo below:
