A serial killer movie that is set to star Matt Dillon as the serial killer in question, director Lars von Trier's THE HOUSE THAT JACK BUILT will soon begin filming in Trollhättan, Sweden, and von Trier just added two more cast members before cameras start rolling.

Joining the project are two actresses who have worked with von Trier before: Uma Thurman, who was in his NYMPHOMANIAC two parter, and Siobhan Fallon Hogan, who was in his films DANCER IN THE DARK and DOGVILLE.

Both actresses have also worked with Dillon before. Twenty-one years ago, Thurman and Dillon shared the screen in a favorite of mine, the comedic drama BEAUTIFUL GIRLS. Hogan and Dillon will both be seen in the upcoming crime comedy GOING IN STYLE, and also worked together on the TV series Wayward Pines (pictured above).

Their co-stars in THE HOUSE THAT JACK BUILT will include Riley Keough, Sofie Grabol, and Bruno Ganz.

The story is set in the 1970s and is told from the killer's point of view.

He is a highly intelligent killer who has spent a decade perfecting the art of the perfect murder. But as the police begin to close in, he starts taking greater and greater risks in his attempt to create the ultimate artwork.

von Trier recently said THE HOUSE THAT JACK BUILT will be celebrating "the idea that life is evil and soulless, which is sadly proven by the recent rise of the Homo trumpus – the rat king."

After wrapping up in Sweden, the production will move on to Copenhagen, Denmark in May.
