Rossif Sutherland to star in World War I horror film Trench 11

Rossif Sutherland

Rossif Sutherland (yes, he is Donald's son and Kiefer's brother) has signed on to star in TRENCH 11, a World War I-era horror story from director Leo Scherman. Genre fans may recognize Sutherland from HELLIONS or the 2012 zombie film DEAD BEFORE DAWN.

Tyler Levin will produce the film, with Phyllis Laing executive producing through her genre label Insidious Pictures. Martin Katz and Walter Gasparovic are also on board to executive produce.

The story centers on

an Allied plan to send a shell-shocked tunneller into a bunker where the Germans have lost control of a biological weapon.

Sounds interesting enough, and I'm all for more movies being set during World War I, especially horror movies.

Raven Banner is representing TRENCH 11 at the Cannes Film Festival.
