If you’re wondering just what kind of ghosts the new GHOSTBUSTERS will be busting, some intriguing new details have just oozed in courtesy of Entertainment Weekly. Additionally, a new photo of the movie’s leading ladies in uniform has been issued and can be seen below.

According to EW, the phantasm-fighting ladies will be squaring off against “pilgrims, old-timey sailors, Revolutionary War spirits, and even a couple of zoot-suited gangsters,” in Paul Feig’s reboot of the franchise. Clearly NYC is the city that never sleeps even when it comes to the dead.

We still don’t know who – or what – the “big bad” of the movie is, and we likely won’t until much closer to the film’s release in July. That said, in July we heard comedian Neil Casey will be playing a bad guy, but my guess remains that the character will be along the same lines as William Atherton’s douchey lawyer Walter Peck in the first film.

GHOSTBUSTERS stars Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, Kate McKinnon, Chris Hemsworth, Dan Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Annie Potts and Charles Dance. It opens July 15th.
