AMC shares details on Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 web series

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Last month, we caught word that AMC was developing a web series connected to their massive hit show The Walking Dead and its prequel companion series Fear the Walking Dead. We knew that the web series would take place on an airplane and that a surviving character will join the cast of Fear the Walking Dead season 2 next year, now the network has revealed further details, starting with the title –

Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462.

The web series

tells the story of a group of passengers aboard a commercial airplane during the earliest moments of the outbreak. Over the course of the series, the plane and the lives of its passengers are put in jeopardy once they discover an infected traveler. The series is written by L. Signorino and Mike Zunic and directed by “Fear” director of photography Michael McDonough.

Flight 462 will consist of sixteen episodes, each less than a minute long. The first of these episodes will premiere on AMC.com on Sunday, October 4th (the same day as Fear the Walking Dead's season 1 finale) and then air during two commercial breaks with The Walking Dead's season 6 premiere on Sunday, October 11th.

Flight 462 episodes will continue to be posted on AMC.com every Sunday, and then air on AMC during The Walking Dead commercial breaks. Flight 462 is sixteen episodes, The Walking Dead season 6 will be sixteen episodes, it all matches up.

Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462 is being produced by Fear showrunner/executive producer Dave Erickson and co-executive producer David Wiener.

I'm not sure how enjoyable it's going to be to watch a story unfold over sixteen weeks in chapters that are less than a minute long, but maybe it will be fun.
