Part of my soul dies every time I hear about GHOSTBUSTERS 3, so with news of yet another writer now on board the long-gestating third film, a little piece of me has died. Thank you, GHOSTBUSTERS.
Who’s the new writer? THE HEAT scribe Katie Dippold has been tapped to co-write the script with director Paul Feig, who recently took to twitter to say: “It's official. I'm making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @katiedippold & yes, it will star hilarious women. That's who I'm gonna call.” So there you have it, the latest on the ever turning wheel that is GHOSTBUSTERS 3.
Although we've been all over the place with news on GHOSTBUSTERS 3, it seems like it's actually starting to take shape with the addition of Dippold. As far as any details go, the site goes on to say that the project will not be connected to the earlier films and will instead launch a new series that focuses on a female-led team of GHOSTBUSTERS. You'll know more when we do.
