Neill Blomkamp's CHAPPIE is moving right along as it adds another star to its cast with Jose Pablo Cantillo (above left). Cantillo will play a gangster named Yankie who hopes to use the titular robot for his own gain. If you're a fan of AMC's "The Walking Dead" then you'll no doubt recognize Cantillo as he played the character of Caesar, one of the Governor's loyal henchmen. Most recently however, he starred in Blomkamp's ELYSIUM. Blomkamp will direct the script he wrote with Terri Tatchell this fall.

Chappie tells the story of a robot with artificial intelligence that is stolen by two local gangsters who want to use him for their own nefarious purposes.

CHAPPIE also stars Sharlto Copley, who will voice the robot, Dev Patel and South African musicians Die Antwoord (Ninja and Yolandi Visser) and is slated for release on March 27, 2015.
