They’re not speaking English in this international trailer for Ridley Scott’s THE COUNSELOR, but “awesome” doesn’t need translation. This is a brief tease, and hopefully one in English isn’t far off, but you can’t deny how goddamn cool this thing looks. I’ve read the screenplay by NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN writer Cormac McCarthy, and believe me when I tell you it’s a nasty piece of business. Cannot wait.

THE COUNSELOR stars Michael Fassbender, Penelope Cruz, Cameron Diaz, Javier Bardem, Rosie Perez, Dean Norris, John Leguizamo, Natalie Dormer and Brad Pitt. It opens in the U.S. on October 25th.

All you need to know about the plot:

A lawyer finds himself in over his head when he gets involved in drug trafficking.
