Yesterday we saw some pretty fantastic images from HITCHCOCK, the November release with Anthony Hopkins in the title role. I was particularly impressed with Scarlett Johansson’s Janet Leigh; just remarkable, but everyone seriously looked their respective parts. That means HBO’s spin on The Master of Suspense, THE GIRL, has its work cut out for it. A new UK quad poster for the film has been revealed, which can be gawked at below.

Toby Jones stars as Hitch, while Sienna Miller tackles the role of his object of affection, Tippi Hedren.

Here’s the premise: Alfred Hitchcock was at the height of his fame and creativity when, in 1962, he chose an unknown fashion model to star in his most ambitious film – The Birds. But as he sculpted Tippi Hedren into the perfect Hitchcock blonde of his imagination, he became obsessed with the impossible dream of winning the real woman’s love. His failure arguably destroyed both of their careers.

Directed by Julian Jarrold and written by Gwyneth Hughes – THE GIRL airs on HBO October 20th.
