A first look at “The New Face of Fear,” SMILEY, arrived in poster form only a few weeks ago, but it would seem as though that wasn’t enough, for another one-sheet for the slasher has reared its ugly head. We’ve posted it for you below.
If you want to see SMILEY in the theater, AMC will exclusively release SMILEY through its AMC independent platform on 28 screens in 14 markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston and Atlanta on OCTOBER 12th.
SMILEY follows a mentally fragile college student named Ashley (Caitlin Gerard from “Magic Mike” and “The Social Network”) who, after learning of an urban legend in which a mysterious serial killer named “Smiley” can be summoned through the Internet, must decide whether she is losing her mind or becoming Smiley‘s next victim.
Melanie Papalia (“Endgame”) and Andrew James Allen (“Make It or Break It”), Roger Bart (“Desperate Housewives”), Keith David (“The Thing”) and Liza Weil (“Scandal”) round out the cast of SMILEY.
