Scott Derrickson’s SINISTER will haunt theaters beginning OCTOBER 12th, a very intense treat for horror fans looking for something genuinely scary this Halloween. The promo material thus far has conveyed some of the movie’s chilling qualities, but the latest preview – a red-band trailer that plays out with nothing much more than eerie music and sound effects – really gives you an idea how deep this flick will crawl under your skin.

In SINISTER, Ethan Hawke plays a true crime novelist struggling to find his next big story who moves his family into a house where the horrific murder of an entire family took place. But after finding a box of home videos in which other families are also brutally murdered, his investigation leads him to a supernatural entity that may be placing his own family in harm’s way.

Juliet Rylance, James Ransone and Vincent D’Onofrio co-star in SINISTER. Prepare yourselves, kids.
