Carl the cowboy? What’s he gonna lasso a corral of brain-eating corpses? Please.

With exactly a month until “The Walking Dead” is resurrected on air, TV Line has procured a pair of new photos from season 3 of the AMC zombie hit. As you can see, Carl the kid is rocking the dusty ten gallon, doing so while he and the gang outruns a legion of bloodthirsty walkers. Bluntly, I hope the kid dies this season something gruesome! Who’s with me?!

Also starring Andrew Lincoln, Sarah Wayne Callies, Laurie Holden, Norman Reedus, Michael Rooker, Steven Yeun, Scott Wilson and Lauren Cohan, as well as new castmembers Dallas Roberts, Denai Guerrero and David Morrisey as “The Governor” – “The Walking Dead” returns on AMC October 14th.

So what do you think? Do these pics promise greatness in a 3rd season? Do you think the new characters in the show will add or subtract from what’s been a solid product so far? I guess what I’m getting at is, how long before “TWD” jumps the shark and becomes unwatchable? Will it be this season?
