Last week we thought Mariana Klaveno would be scoring the coveted role of ‘Lily Munster’ in NBC’s upcoming “Munsters” reboot “Mockingbird Lane,” right? Right. The only problem is Klaveno was having trouble getting out of her “Devious Maids” contract. Unfortunately it seems a deal wasn’t worked out.

Fortunately NBC and company had a back-up plan! According to Deadline Hollywood blonde hottie Portia de Rossi has signed on to star as ‘Mrs. Munster!’ Man this thing is really building up quite the intriguing cast…

The madness begins when a baby bear attacks a scouting trip, only it turns out that this “bear” is actually Eddie transformed into a werewolf. Eddie is unaware of his metamorphosis and it forces the family to move in order to protect the family secret. The coming of age story gets weirder as he fights against his family when he learns of a shocker: they’re a family of flesh-eaters!

So we’ve got de Rossi (pictured) as Lily, Jerry O’Connell as Herman, Eddie Izzard as Grandpa, Mason Cook as Eddie and Charity Wakefield as Marilyn. Looks like the whole family is here!

With things kicking into high gear on production of “Mockingbird Lane” I’m sure we’ll be treated to some more updates soon. In the meantime spit some bullets below and let us know what you think of de Rossi’s casting!
