It’s happening folks. SCARY MOVIE 5 is coming. Sure that doesn’t mean we have to watch the thing but it does mean the production of SCARY MOVIE 5 is just wasted time that could’ve been spent on a better film. But alas no use crying over spilt milk right?
Today I stumbled upon an article over at Variety that is dropping a few more details on SCARY MOVIE 5. Now we already know the film will be directed by Malcolm Lee and will be a direct spoof of Darren Aronofsky’s BLACK SWAN. We know it’ll be released this January. We also already know the rundown for this one:
SCARY MOVIE 5 will involve the dance world, with a snooty, aloof, imperious, and oversexed French director of a dance company named Pierre putting on a huge production. Jody, a Caucasian late-20’s mother of two and her late-20’s African American friend Kendra are both vying for the lead in the production. Jody’s extremely controlling former dancer mother is determined that Jody will have the brilliant career that eluded her. The highly skilled mid-30’s Diva veteran dancer with the company, Heather Daltry, gets cut from the production and goes berserk.
So what new details are coming to light? Well just a few more movies SCARY MOVIE 5 will be out to spoof. Along with BLACK SWAN, SCARY MOVIE 5 will also be spoofing PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES and 127 HOURS. Really? … Damn.
So there you have it folks. More reason not to look forward to SCARY MOVIE 5, which has a standing release date of January 11, 2013.
