Brad Pitt & Javier Bardem both in line to star in Ridley Scott’s The Counselor!

Seems I’m the only one willing to write about Ridley Scott’s THE COUNSELOR around these parts, a distinction I find quite honorable. I mean, if you’re as big a fan as NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN as I, there’s absolutely no reason to NOT follow THE COUNSELOR’s every little move…

Just yesterday we heard Angelina Jolie had been discussing with Scott a small role to play in the film. Today, it seems two names bandied about back in February as potential villains are back in the mix.

Deadline is reporting that Jolie’s beau Brad Pitt and Javier Bardem – both considered for the primary heavy in the film two months ago – will each play different roles in the ultra-violent crime-thriller.

How badass is that? Pitt, Bardem, Fassbender and quite possibly Jolie…in a Ridley Scott film written by Cormac McCarthy? Instant #1 anticipated film of 2013 in my eyes!

Filming this June – Set the contemporary Southwest, The protagonist in The Counselor is a respected lawyer (Fassbender) who thinks he can dip a toe in to the drug business without getting sucked down. It is a bad decision and he tries his best to survive it and get out of a desperate situation.

Be honest, how do you like the cast so far? Remember, Bardem won an Oscar for playing a villain in a McCarthy part.
