It’s kind of hard not to be excited about Bong Joon-Ho’s SNOW PIERCER, right? Maybe it’s the fact that Joon-Ho is tackling a psychological thriller with a pretty awesome cast? Fact is I’m stoked for SNOW PIERCER and I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Well today we have yet another reason to get excited for this one! I guess… You see Variety just dropped word that THE INCIDENT star Kenny Doughty has just signed on to star in SNOW PIERCER. There’s no telling who Doughty (right) will be playing but I’m sure it’ll be one of the train’s passengers. Speaking of which, peep the rundown for SNOW PIERCER:
Earth is completely frozen over as a new ice age hits…The world is covered in snow and ice. The only living people, the last survivors, are on board a leviathan train speeding along the rail tracks endlessly. But they are fighting each other…
For survival, for dominance, they are locked into a gruesome fight to the death along a linear path inside the train. From the tail end carriage reminiscent of Auschwitz, to the gold class carriages at the front, full of decadent pleasures, our protagonists must penetrate deep into the dark secrets that shroud the train…
Sounds like it’s got some major potential, right? Yeah it does. Anyway along with Doughty the film is also set to star Octavia Specer, John Hurt, Tilda Swinton, Jamie Bell, Kang Ho Song, Ewan Bremner and Chris Evans. Unfortunately that beauty below isn’t in the flick but I don’t hear you complaining.
