Well folks ever since it started filming the news on Richard Raaphorst’s FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY has just been bulldozing our way. Mind you we’re not complaining! We’ve been waiting for this thing to start filming for months and now things are finally rolling.

The news on this shite continues today with a nifty little treat Dark Sky Films just posted over on their Twitter page. Here’s the description:

“What is this mysterious contraption from the set of FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY?!? #FrankensteinsArmy”

You can get a look at the deadly weapon directly below. What in the world can this thing be? You know… If I didn’t know any better I’d say this thing is the live-action version of that badass above. But who knows..

FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY takes place toward the end of World War II, as Russian soldiers push into eastern Germany and stumble across a secret Nazi lab, one that has unearthed and begun experimenting with the journal of one Dr. Viktor Frankenstein. The scientists have used the legendary Frankenstein’s work to assemble an army of super-soldiers stitched together from the body parts of their fallen comrades – a desperate Hitler’s last ghastly ploy to escape defeat.

Karel Roden has been tapped to star in this thing along with Alexander Mercury, Joshua Sasse, Luke Newberry, Andrei Zayats, Mark Stevenson, Hon Ping Tang, Cristina Catalina, Robert Gwylim, and Jan De Lukovicz. With FRANKENSTEIN’S ARMY currently filming I’m sure more goods will roll our way soon so be sure to check back for that!
