Although a good portion of us will always remember Olivia Williams from RUSHMORE, the lovely British bird has appeared in her fair share of genre outings. THE SIXTH SENSE, BELOW, HANNA are a few that stick out, and now it seems she’s keeping the trend alive with THE SEVENTH SON

Word is Olivia (pictured) will join Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore in THE SEVENTH SON, the wizardry/exorcism film being adapted from Joseph Delaney’s novel THE SPOOK’S APPRENTICE. No details for her role were given, but let’s hope it’s not a throwaway one.

With Kit Harington, Ben Barnes, Lilah Fitzgerald and Alicia Vikander also in the cast – SEVENTH SON picks up when:

Tom Ward, a young boy training to be an exorcist in the 1700’s, must learn how to exorcise ghosts, contain witches, and bind boggarts. Trouble begins when he’s tricked into releasing the most evil witch in the world.

Despite not knowing what the f*ck a boggart is, the cast is starting to win me over. I still think that, since the source material is a series of “young adult” novels, it will skew so young as to be PG-13. Still, Bridges, Moore and Williams are quite a draw. For me anyway…

What says you?
