The techno-thriller sort of sounds like a cross between VANISHING ON 7TH STREET and THE DARKEST HOUR, whatever that’s worth. Variety reports that Giancarlo Esposito (above) has been cast in “Revolution” and will play a southern lieutenant with an air of mystery in the drama about a group of characters struggling to survive in a world in which all energy has vanished. He’ll join Tracy Spiridakos (below), Graham Rodgers and Anna Lise Phillips.
Giancarlo Esposito is one of those great character actors you may know by face but not name. You may know him as Gus Fring on “Breaking Bad” though he’s got over 130 screen credits dating back to the late 70s. It’s good to see him land a major role on an Abrams’ produced network gig.
Speaking of, “Revolution” is “A high octane action drama from J. J. Abrams following a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist.”
