Earlier this month we heard the awesome(?) news that James Wan’s INSIDIOUS was indeed getting the sequel treatment with original filmmakers Wan and scribe Leigh Whannell on board. Now that’s pretty cool but what exactly is going to be in the sequel? That we had no idea about… until now!
Well to be fair we still don’t really have any clue as to what’s in store for us with INSIDIOUS 2 but thanks to Dread Central and Mr. Whannell we do know who’ll be back for another round of demonic adventures!
You see the guys over at DC recently had a chance to chat with Whannell about the upcoming sequel and the scribe/actor divulged a bit about who we can expect to see again:
“I can say that yes, my character will be seen in Insidious 2. It may probably bum a lot of people out, though, to hear this news. It’s part of the reason I don’t even read the internet message boards anymore; there was this hatred that spewed out from fans saying ‘I hated those guys! They sucked! They ruined the movie!’ so there will probably be a lot of people out there who will be disappointed to hear that the Specs and Tucker characters will be coming back. (laughs)”
Not sure what Whannell is talking about really… I loved those guys! So you can go ahead and color me stoked they’ll be back for the sequel. Not sure when things will get rolling on INSIDIOUS 2 but hopefully it’s sooner rather than later.
