Late last year we learned that “Chuck” hottie Yvonne Strahovski was joining the cast of Stuart Beattie’s I, FRANKENSTEIN, which is an adaptation of graphic novel of the same name. Well here we are a few months later and thanks to Movieweb we’ve got Ms. Strahovski talking shop!

You see Movieweb recently sat down with the up-and-coming actress to chat about KILLER ELITE and “Chuck,” but she had no problem spilling some info on I, FRANKENSTEIN as well. Check it out:

“I’m flying in a couple of weeks to Australia to shoot another movie with Aaron Eckhart, which I’m really excited about called I, Frankenstein. It’s going to be sort of an action-drama-romance type movie. I play a scientist, and I think I’m changing up my accent. I’m going to be British in this one, which is nice for a change. I’ve been an American for so many years now (Laughs). It’s kind of a modern take on the original (Frankenstein) story. There will be some romantic elements, I think it’s safe to say that much.”

Works for me! It’s nice to finally get a description of what direction Beattie is going in with I, FRANKENSTEIN.

I, FRANKENSTEIN is a modern-day epic: Frankenstein’s creature, Adam (Eckhart), has survived to present day due to a genetic quirk in his creation. Making his way to a dark, gothic metropolis, he finds himself caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.

Along with Strahovski and Eckhart the film will also potentially star Miranda Otto, Bill Nighy and Socratis Otto. With a release date of February 22, 2013 already pegged, filming on I, FRANKENSTEIN is set to kick-off within the next couple weeks so be sure to keep it here for any other updates that might roll our way.
