Most reactions to the headline will presumably be “no f*cking thank you”, but as it’s two days before Christmas, news is ridiculously slow, and you’ll just have to deal with what we shove under your tree. However, you HUNGER GAMES freaks are going to gobble up whatever’s available from the flick, so here’s an early treat for you.

Pop artist Taylor Swift debuted her single for the Lionsgate film – entitled “Safe and Sound” – on iTunes, but the internet has helpfully put it on Youtube so you can give it an earful below. There’s nothing remarkable about it, but I’m not exactly what you’d call Ms. Swift’s target audience. I’m frankly more interested in hearing the score by T-Bone Burnett and James Newton Howard (hopefully there will be remnants of what Danny Elfman contributed before he abandoned the undertaking, although I’m not sure if he ever really got started).

THE HUNGER GAMES hits theaters on MARCH 23rd.
