I can’t speak for all, but I’m pretty pumped that Vincent D’Onofrio has turned to the horror genre for this writing/directing debut. The flick in question is DON’T GO IN THE WOODS, and to give you a better idea of the nastiness this sucker is dishing, I suggest copping a peek at a new red-band clip from the film we have below!
I really don’t want to spoil the fun of the clip, so I’ll just lend a simple setup. When a woman in distress comes screaming for help at the campsite of our leads, a language barrier hampers her ability to communicate. Pretty soon, it’s too late!
Don’t Go in the Woods is sound advice, especially when there’s a killer on the loose. First-time director Vincent D’Onofrio explores love, greed and ruthlessness in this twisted musical/horror hybrid, telling the story of a young band who heads to the woods to get away from their everyday lives in order to focus on writing new songs. Hoping to walk away from the trip with new tunes that will score them their big break, they instead find themselves in the middle of a nightmare beyond comprehension.
With Eric Bogosian, Cassandra Walker (below), Matt Sbeglia, Soomin Lee, Nick Thorp, Casey Smith, Jorgen Jorgensen, Gywnn Galitzer, Alyssa Jang, Kira Gorelick, Nuriya Almaya, Ali Tobia and Kate O’Malley – DON’T GO IN THE WOODS hits select theaters next month.
