To be completely honest I’m not sure how much this project touches on our beloved genre but it’s a thriller set in a morgue… Can’t get much closer then that, right?
The project I’m getting at is a little diddy called BODIES AT REST and according to Variety it’s heading our way courtesy of Nasser Entertainment and Caliber Media Co.. While no director has been announced as of yet we do know that David Lesser penned the script. Some of Lesser’s previous credits? “Sabrina, The Teenage Witch” and “Who’s the Boss?” …. that can’t be good.
Story centers on three thugs who break into a morgue to cover up a crime and the medical examiner and assistant who must figure out a way to stay alive as well as protect the evidence.
Joseph and Jack Nasser of Nasser Entertainment will be producing alongside Caliber’s Dallas Sonnier and Jack Heller. Mike Goldberg, Josh Adler and David Lesser will co-executive produce.
Now that’s about all we’ve got on BODIES AT REST right now. Not a whole lot to go on but at least we know what this little diddy is about. If more updates from this shindig prove it’s not really AITH material, you can kiss it goodbye. But just in case it is, we’ll be right here to update you guys!
