I swear I saw I movie like this on cable a few years back, but I can’t for the life of me recall the title.

Anyway, a new social-media based horror flick called KILLCAM is headed our way, courtesy of Waterstone Entertainment. The flick, created by April Wade and Canyon Prince, directed by John Darko, is currently in production in Los Angeles. Peep this synopsis and see if it rings any bells:

Scripted by Spence Griffeth, KILLCAM follows a group of students as they willingly agree to participate in a social experiment to explore the effects of dependence on technology and social media — with students isolated from each other and the only way to communicate via social media. However during the experiment, someone has a different agenda in mind as things start to take a turn for the worse.

Okay, so the movie I’m thinking of had some virtual role-playing element to it, with bunch of strangers playing an online game together and mysteriously dying one by one. Why I can’t remember the name is beyond me, but maybe you can.

As way to interact with the story, producers have set up the nifty Killcamlive.com website that allows users – through Facebook, Twitter and online chat – to engage with characters from the actual movie. Now that’s one component I’m sure that other movie did not have.

Sam Leonard, Emily Dykes, Billy Towers, Tracy Clifton (below) and April Wade all star in KILLCAM.
