This Witch likes to eat children’s flesh! First still from The Wicked is here!

One thing that’s hard to come by is a really good witch-related flick. Maybe because witches aren’t as popular as other basic monsters like zombies, vampires and werewolves. Personally I’ve never been a fan of witch flicks… there’s just no draw, ya know?

But perhaps that’ll be different with THE WICKED, a new witch-related flick coming our way from director Peter Winther and scribe Michael Vickerman. Just in time for the American Film Market not only do we have the details on this little diddy, but we have the flick’s first still as well!

When a girl goes missing in a town with a history of mysterious disappearances, local teenagers recall an old legend about a witch who lives in a house in the woods and devours the flesh of children; the young for youth, the strong for power, and the pretty for beauty.

On a dare the teens venture to the house to lay to rest the nightmarish tales of their childhood once and for all. What they discover is the legend is true. And the very things that have raised them to the top of the high school pecking order will now turn them into victims for The Wicked.

Intriguing enough, right? THE WICKED isn’t sounding like your run-of-the-mill witch flick so perhaps there’s something more to this one? You can get a gander at that still I mentioned earlier by scrolling directly below. Nothing worth writing home about but at least it’s something, right?

Starring Justin Deeley, Devon Werkheiser and Nicole Forester (below), THE WICKED is set to hit the AFM next month so I’m sure we’ll have more updates on this one soon.
