Take a shot of Venom, Gary Breslin’s low-budget killer snake flick

Another year, another deadly snake yarn!

This time it’s VENOM, an ultra-low-budget affair from feature first timer Gary Breslin. We have the hilarious trailer below, as well as the cheaply done promo poster. Everything about this film reeks of B-movie cheese, but at least the filmmakers know it and seem to have a good time with it. If only the viewing experience was similar, we’d all come out winners.

Written by Joan Channing Boris, VENOM takes hold after a car breaks down in an isolated desert, and a mother and young daughter are relentlessly pursued by a deadly snake.

Not much left to the imagination there. My favorite part of the trailer though, the part where the mother seemingly dives headfirst into a giant snake pit. WTF was that?

With Jessica Morris (below), Olivia Crawford, Roberto Sanchez, Christian Levatino, Chuck Kelley, Exie Booker and Israel Saez de Miguel – VENOM holds an untagged 2011 release date. My guess is the $1 million film will slither its way onto DVD sometime soon.

Until then, the trailer…
