So back in December 2008 we told you about a little psychological thriller coming our way called WALKING DISTANCE. Oh you read that right, December 2008! And today we’ve finally got an update on the thing. Apparently not only has WALKING DISTANCE scored a DVD release date but it’s also got a new title!

According to the guys over at Fangoria WALKING DISTANCE will now be called PSYCHIC EXPERIMENT and it’ll be dropping on December 6th. The Mel House film will be available on DVD, On Demand and via Digital Download. The DVD will include Audio Commentary with Cast & Crew, Behind the Scenes Featurette and Deleted Scenes. There’s no way you guys remember this one because frankly… it doesn’t seem very memorable, so allow me to refresh your memory.

A idyllic, small, self-sufficient community. On the surface, it seems like the perfect neighborhood. Everything you could possibly need is within walking distance. But… the pastoral exterior conceals a dark past and an even darker secret. As a group of individuals – each with their own ties and agendas with the town and each other – converges on the enclave, strange things begin to happen. Very strange things. Strange enough to test – and then break – the very fabric of reality itself.

I’ve also gone ahead and tossed the updated trailer for PSYCHIC EXPERIMENT below and over in our videos section, so enjoy that. I don’t know about the rest of you but I could’ve seen myself checking this out when it was called WALKING DISTANCE but PSYCHIC EXPERIMENT… ? It’s just so generic. Alas how does that old saying go: ‘Don’t judge a book by it’s cover?’ So we’ll go ahead and roll with that I suppose.

So if PSYCHIC EXPERIMENT, which stars Reggie Bannister, Adrienne King, Glenn Morshower and Debbie Rochon (below), is catching your eye be sure to check that shite out on December 6th!
