Charlize Theron hunts down brutal murderer & kidnapper in Cities Of Refuge

My girl Charlize Theron (yes, she’s mine again after losing that Reynolds tool) is getting back into gritty mode, as she’s now circling a deal to produce and top-line a harry crime-thriller called CITIES OF REFUGE. That’s right, I said harry!

From writer Brandon Hiller, it seems Charlize will play a female investigator brought in to solve a brutal murder and kidnapping in which things aren’t what they seem.

Details are cant thereafter, but if Charlize’s post-Oscar track record is any indication, it will probably be as much of a character piece as it as a visceral genre flick. Dunno, it seems Charlize chooses her projects pretty wisely. Even when finally doing full out genre, she gets to work with the best in the biz (Ridley Scott’s PROMETHEUS). Don’t give me any of that CHILDREN OF THE CORN III lip either…Theron played an uncredited “young woman” in that lowly pile.

More on CITIES OF REFUGE as we explore it…
