One up and coming director in our beloved genre is John Gulager, one of the stars from that short-lived “Project Greenlight” thing. Gulager burst onto the scene a few years ago with the highly enjoyable FEAST and has just kept on rolling. Later this year he’s got his first big-budget film heading our way in PIRANHA 3DD and he couldn’t be more excited!

I know this because the guys over at This Week in Horror had a chance to chat it up with the director about a couple of his upcoming projects, including PIRANHA 3DD and a potential FEAST 4! In the interview Gulager confirms that there is indeed a script for FEAST 4, though he’s unsure when/if it’ll get made. Don’t take my word for it though, just scroll directly below for a video of the interview.

I don’t know about you guys but I was already pretty stoked for PIRANHA 3DD. And now after hearing Gulager talk about the project you can sign me up to be there opening weekend! Like I wasn’t going to be there already… Ha.

PIRANHA 3DD sports a cast that includes Paul Scheer, Ving Rhames, Danielle Panabaker, Christopher Lloyd, Katrina Bowden (below), Matt Bush, Chris Zylka, David Koechner, Gary Busey and David Hasselhoff and hits theaters everywhere on November 23rd.
