It appears that SIN CITY 2 really is moving full steam ahead. We have been waiting for this project to come into play since the end credits rolled on SIN CITY, and now we know we’re finally getting our long awaited sequel.
It wasn’t too long ago we brought you an update on the project, with news that the script was nearly completed and funding was in the bank. So what next? Well it looks like Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller are bringing in some Oscar winning talent to work on the script.
William Monahan who won the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for THE DEPARTED has been hired. As noted he will work on the script, written by Miller. Monahan has been a Hollywood hot property since his Oscar win, and his addition to this looks more than promising.
No word yet on storyline details, or even which characters (and actors) will be returning. According to Rodriguez he believes actors from the first time will be able to reprise their roles. The shoot will be very similar to the last film, with the green screen and their time shouldn’t conflict with other projects.
