What is with Rob Zombie’s THE LORDS OF SALEM? It seems every week we’re hearing about the effects for this flick… is it really going to be that effects heavy? Hey at least they’re practical effects, right?
And the SFX news keeps on rolling today with a brand new behind the scenes shot Zombie just tossed up over at his official Facebook page. The shot, found directly below, was accompanied by the following statement from Zombie:
What the hell is going on now at THE LORDS OF SALEM SFX Shop? Each day is stranger the the last.
We’re wondering the same exact thing man. The shot gives us some tiny little man covered in what looks like plaster… WTF indeed. What exactly is going on here? Let the bullets fly below with your theories!
Heidi, a blonde rock chick, DJs at a local radio station, and together with the two Hermans (Whitey and Munster) forms part of the “Big H Radio Team”.
A mysterious wooden box containing a vinyl record arrives for Heidi, “a gift from the Lords”. She assumes it’s a rock band on a mission to spread their word. As Heidi and Whitey play the Lords’ record, it starts to play backwards, and Heidi experiences a flashback to a past trauma.
Later Whitey plays the Lords’ record, dubbing them the Lords of Salem, and to his surprise, the record plays normally and is a massive hit with listeners.
The arrival of another wooden box from the Lords presents the Big H Team with free tickets, posters and records to host a gig in Salem. Soon Heidi and her cohorts find that the gig is far from the rock spectacle they’re expecting: the original Lords of Salem are returning, and they’re out for BLOOD.
No word on when we might be seeing LORDS OF SALEM hit theaters but you can bet we’ll be keeping you updated on every piece of SALEM news that comes our way.
