If you’re visiting AITH then chances are you’re a big fan of horror maestro Guillermo del Toro. Hell how can you not be a fan of del Toro’s? The man is a genius and nearly all his work comes out amazing. I’ve yet to meet a person who dislikes del Toro and that doesn’t surprise me one bit.

So when the mastermind opens up about not one, not two… but three of his projects, well you can bet your bottom dollar I’m going to jump at the chance to tell you about it!

First up we’ve got an interview MTV did with the director where he touches on a couple different projects, including PACIFIC RIM and AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS. According to del Toro PACIFIC RIM won’t be an invasion movie, which is a breath of fresh air in this guy’s mind.

“… [PACIFIC RIM is] not an invasion movie. It was a very new way of having giant monsters and giant robots battle each other. … The kaiju genre in Japan that is outlandish, but is always incredibly appealing.”

And as for AT THE MOUNTAINS OF MADNESS… Well: “I think [finding out that the project was shelved] was one of the hardest episodes of my life. … ‘Mountains’ will happen one day. Cthulu willing, we’ll get it made.”

And then, courtesy of filmlincdotcom’s YouTube page, we’ve got a juicy Question and Answer session with not only del Toro, but the whole cast and crew from DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK! Including Katie Holmes (below)! You know you want to check that shite out, right? Right. Just scroll on down below to scope out some video of both interviews.

DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK hits theaters on August 26th with PACIFIC RIM to follow a year later on July 12, 2013.
