One flick I’m actually pretty excited about is Joe Lynch’s KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM. Now I’m actually not a fan of Peter Dinklage but I do dig the rest of the cast, plus Lynch’s blend of comedy and horror seems to be spot on so you can go ahead and sign this guy up. I’m sure I’m not alone on that.
So when a couple new stills from the flick come rolling our way today courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, well we’d be crazy not to tell you about them, right? Still no look at the horror part of the flick but we do have some more medieval fun happening! Don’t take my word for it though, just scroll below and check out the goods for yourself.
A huge group of dedicated, costumed LARP-ers (Live Action Role-Players) , dressed like knights, elves & various characters, who give up their cell phones and take to the woods for the Central New Jersey Knights of Badassdom Adventure Society, where they are set to re-enact a dungeons and dragons scenario right out of the mythical Middle Ages.
After being dumped by his sexy girlfriend Beth, Joe reluctantly decides to join Eric and his Larping friends in the woods rather than stay behind and feel sorry for his newly single status. There he meets hot, ass-kicking, intimidating huntress LARPer Gwen, and finds himself a surreal adventure wilder than he ever imagined when a make-believe wizard casts an all-too-real spell from an ancient book he bought on EBay, releasing an actual demon with a taste for human blood — and souls — that starts systematically decimating the players in this suddenly deadly “game.” Will our guys become the heroes they have been pretending to be before time runs out?
The horror/comedy stars Dinklage, Summer Glau (below), Ryan Kwanten, Steve Zahn and Danny Pudi. Still no word on when we might be seeing this little diddy but you can bet we’ll be keeping you updated with every piece of news regarding KNIGHTS OF BADASSDOM as it comes our way.
