Original TCM director Tobe Hooper to cameo in Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D

We’ve only just recently digested the news that Leatherface himself, Gunnar Hansen, will make an appearance in Lionsgate’s THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D, and now Dread Central is serving up another course of cameo-related casting news.

According to the site, TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE helmer Tobe Hooper will have a walk-on role in the new 3D reboot, which John Luessenhopis directing. No word on what Hooper will be doing in the film specifically, but you’d have to assume that it will be the very definition of a cameo.

Bill Moseley, Scott Eastwood, Alexandra Daddario, Tania Raymonde and Sue Rock all co-star in the flick, which is slated for an OCTOBER 2012 release.
