There really aren’t going to be many details here, so I’ll just give ya what’s known..

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ethan Hawke has signed on to star in a micro-budget horror movie from director Scott Derrickson (THE EXORCISM OF EMILY ROSE) and producer Jason Blum (INSIDIOUS). The film is untitled and the synopsis is being kept under wraps, so… that’s all we really know.

Because it’s being produced by Blum and his partner Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, it’s likely this flick will be in the same spirit as INSIDIOUS, Rob Zombie’s LORDS OF SALEM and Barry Levinson’s THE BAY, all of which the duo are producers on. These projects reflect the current trend of spending low but aiming high on genre films.

Shooting on the “Untitled Scott Derrickson Project” gets underway on September 9th. I assume we’ll begin to learn more about this mysterious movie before then…
