Don’t you just love slow news days? If anything a slow news day means we’re going to dig deep for some updates to spit your way and once and a while we dig up a little gem. Could that be the case with today’s news? Time will tell.
I’m talking about a project called A BETTER WORLD, which according to Variety is coming our way from Radar Pictures. They’ve even tapped a team for the sci-fi thriller already in director Mark Palansky and scribe Josh LeBlanc. So what’s this thing about? Check it:
The moderately budgeted project centers on gateways to an otherworldly utopia that appear in major cities around the world.
A journalist investigates their true origin while city dwellers journey through the mysterious portals in search of hope.
Sounds like it’s got some potential. Palansky (above) even vocalized why he was interested in the project: “I was immediately drawn in to the brave and challenging questions which are an integral part to all great works of science fiction.” Let’s hope A BETTER WORLD falls into that latter category.
No telling when production on A BETTER WORLD will kick off but we’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on this one so be sure to check back soon for updates!
