Well folks today I stumbled upon a project over at Variety that I thought some of you may find interesting. Mind you this flick seems to possibly be aimed for a younger crowd but it’s a sci-fi flick about a robot assassin so I’m going to go ahead and roll with it!
I’m talking about a flick called THE ROBOT, which is based on the novel of the same name by Paul Watson. According to Variety Alloy Entertainment have already tapped scribe Joe Ballarini to adapt the novel for the big screen. No director has been announced yet. Now what’s this little diddy about? Check it:
“The Robot” centers around two teenagers who must stop a robotic assassin from starting World War III.
Along with a writer, THE ROBOT also already has a release date: July 21, 2012. A summer release? Really? Perhaps producers Leslie Morgenstein and Bob Levy are planning something big with this one. Time will tell I suppose.
